Security and privacy
Your information. Your control.
Information this important deserves deliberate access controls. LifeVault explains the controls that are implemented and does not claim unsupported certifications, malware scanning, MFA or automatic legal verification.
Authenticated accounts
Each vault is tied to a signed-in account.
Private documents
Documents use a private storage bucket and short-lived secure links rather than public URLs.
Granular permissions
Owners choose categories and conditions for trusted people. Database row-level policies enforce the effective permissions.
Controlled access changes
Death and incapacity are different workflows. Reporting either does not automatically unlock information.
Audit history
Important product actions are recorded without putting sensitive document contents into general activity text.
A clear limitation is safer than a vague claim
Some production controls remain future work, including email invitation delivery, automated document intelligence, malware scanning and automated evidence verification. LifeVault does not present these as active.
